I am an Army veteran who, after coping with PTSD, anxiety and depression for many, many years found healing through mindfulness, compassion, reiki and art, and by sharing my journey with others.
I am a mental health advocate, a compassion ambassador, a public speaker, writer, and soul retriever. I have a different approach to healing through compassion. I see how so many of us, men especially, do not resonate with the way it is often presented. There is a tougher side to it that is nevertheless kind and healing to ourselves and to others.
I practice compassion, meditation, Reiki, creative writing and painting for healing. My practice is a practical one, its not just about sitting in a quiet space but about practicing, and often struggling, in every day life. I love to have meaningful discussions about what works with compassion, healing energy, breathwork, meditation and grounding. These practices have a long history in many cultures, they work and they are recognized as effective ways to lead a meaningful life of purpose and happiness. I love to share my approach with anybody who is interested either individually, in small groups or in the workplace.
I have learned that compassion is not soft and squishy, it doesn't mean hugging trees and singing songs it is tough and requires courage. It doesn't always look the way we might expect. We all have the capacity for compassion, I'd love to show you how.
